Hampton Jazz Festival this weekend

Students from several Kootenai County schools are headed to the University of Idaho for the 53rd Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Friday and Saturday.
Woodland Middle School, Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanity, Post Falls High, Lake City High, Coeur d’Alene High, Lakes Middle School and Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy will be represented.
Thousands of elementary to college student musicians, educators and guests will visit the UI campus in Moscow for the event that includes student competitions, workshops and evening concerts featuring top jazz artists.
The public is welcome to join the festivities, but should be aware of street and parking restrictions due to the high amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
