Idaho gets past Northern Colorado

Lizzy Klinker had 17 points and a career-high five steals, leading Idaho to a 70-65 win over Northern Colorado in front of 781 at Memorial Gym on Thursday.
Natalie Klinker had 11 points and 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season and seventh of her career for Idaho (17-9, 12-5 Big Sky). Idaho trailed 23-21 with 4:46 remaining in the second period before a 3-pointer by junior Allison Kirby, the Timberlake High product, gave the Vandals the lead. Kirby finished with five points and five rebounds.
Northern Colorado is 7-15, 7-10.
Idaho hosts Southern Utah on Saturday in Memorial Gym starting at 2 p.m.
Southern Utah 70, Eastern Washington 67: At Cheney, Bella Cravens had 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Eagles, who pulled to within three points late but were unable to get any closer in a loss to the Thunderbirds (16-10, 10-7) in front of 316 at Reese Court.
Grace Kirscher, a sophomore from Sandpoint High, had 10 points, four rebounds and three assists for Eastern Washington, which trailed 63-52 with 5:12 remaining before making a run late.
Eastern Washington hosts Northern Colorado on Saturday at noon.
