Two arrested after law enforcement officials search homes

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detectives made multiple arrests after raids of two homes Feb. 25 allegedly turned up a plethora of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
James Gring, 54, and Kristin Nelson, 39, face charges of criminal possession with intent to distribute following the operations in southern Lincoln County.
Sheriff’s deputies executed the search warrants alongside officers from the Libby Police Department, Northwest Drug Task Force and U.S. Border Patrol at about 7:30 p.m. The raids turned up pipes, bongs, scales, baggies and more than 150 grams of suspected methamphetamine, officials said.
The sheriff’s office employed Mila, one of the agency’s two new K-9s, in the searches, officials said. A German short-haired pointer, Mila came to the department in the late fall.
