BONNERS FERRY — The second annual BFHS Alumni Tournament took place on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Bonners Ferry High School. Five teams battled their way through 10 games to end up with a championship team.
It was a jam-packed day of basketball that started at 9 a.m. and ended with the last game at 5 p.m. Spectators watched and cheered for past Badger greats; many players reunited with old friends and teammates as their children practiced their skills on the sidelines.
The 3-point contest was won by Kaleb Stockton after shooting 12-of-15 behind the arc.
Silent auction items that were donated included Gonzaga men’s basketball tickets by Pluid and Sons Logging, handmade items and delicious baked goods, including two gift certificates for a meal a month for six months cooked and delivered by Cassie Olson. Local business donations came from Sugar Plum, BF Vet Clinic, Far North, and the Pizza Factory.
This event has become a great fundraiser for the BFHS Boys Basketball program. Thank you once again to all the parents, players and local businesses that have volunteered or donated to make this a successful event.
