Courtesy photo Senior basketball player Ali Carpenter is this week’s Post Falls High School Athlete of the Week. Carpenter was selected to the all- tournament team at the Avista Holiday Tournament in Lewiston. For the tournament she averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals and shot 54% from the field in leading the Trojans to a second-place finish.

SELECT SOCCER

Thorns Girls ’04 Red: The Thorns resumed RCL league play on Saturday in Olympia, Wash., against the Blackhills FC G04 Black A, and tied 1-1. The lone Thorns goal was scored by Olivia Azzollini on a solo effort.

The Thorns then traveled to Gig Harbor, Wash., on Sunday, to play Harbor Premier G04 White, and won 6-0. Thorns goals were scored by Kalena Flowers (2, Mackenzie Goings and Kylie Stone assists), Kylie Stone, Mackenzie Goings (2) and Olivia Azzollini.

The Thorns are now 2-1-0 in RCL league play.

Avant Coeur: The Avant Coeur boys team had its first meet of the season this past weekend, competing at the Washington State Open in Seattle at the University of Washington.

Level 4

Rowen Moore took 1st on Rings with a 8.1 and a high of 8.1 on Vault

Riley Dietz took 2nd on Floor with a 9.3 and had a high of 9.3 on High Bar

Collin Scott took 1st on Vault with a 9.5 and tied for 5th on Floor with a 8.6

Level 5

Brayson Moore had a high of 8.8 on Pommel and a high of 8.2 on Floor and Rings

Level 6

Conan Tapia took 5th on Pommel with a 9.9 and 3rd on High Bar with a 9.5

Dylan Coulson took 6th on Vault with a 9.0 and had a high of 9.0 on Pommel

Blake Laird had a high of 8.7 on Vault and a high of 8.0 on PBars

Hudson Petticolas took 1st on Floor with a 10.0, Tied for 1st on Vault with a 9.2 and took 5th All Around with a 55.8

Brandon Decker took 5th on Floor with a 10.8, tied for 5th on Vault with a 10.9
