Arlee Warriors come up short against Anaconda, Deer Lodge

At Arlee last Thursday, the host Warriors trailed by a double digit deficit at intermission against the visiting Wardens, but pulled within a single possession with a third quarter surge.
Arlee countered Deer Lodge field goals during the course of the final frame, but the Wardens converted at the charity stripe to extend their margin.
At Anaconda this past weekend, the visiting Warriors played a tighter contest the first half to stay within striking distance of Anaconda at intermission, then edged ahead by a precarious possession as they closed out the third period. But the host Copperheads flexed their fangs the final frame to snakebite Warrior wishes to ring in the new year with their first conference win.
This weekend, the Warriors travel to Florence, then host Charlo on Saturday.

Cody Tanner matched a varsity career high two dozen while cresting the century (100) point plateau for season scoring.

At Smith Fields in Whitefish for the 2018 State A boys soccer championship, the Polson Pirates and the Northern A conference champion Bulldogs would put on quite a show in an energetic quest to claim the coveted state A crown last Saturday.
