SPIRIT LAKE — Taryn Soumas scored seven of her game-high 14 points in the first quarter to lead the Timberlake Tigers past the Bonners Ferry Badgers 66-37 in the Intermountain League opener for both schools on Wednesday.

“We played really well as a team, shared the ball well and everyone contributed on the offensive end,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “It was the first time all year that everyone scored, which was awesome to see. We just stayed aggressive throughout, which was good to see. Everyone was just aggressive and that was a big difference for us.”
