The U.S. is promising to take “appropriate action” in response to its assessment that an Iranian missile was responsible for downing a Ukrainian jetliner while Iran denies that one of its missiles hit the plane. Also Friday, the Trump administration announced a new round of sanctions against Iran in the wake missile strikes on two U.S. bases in Iraq.
