— FATAL FIRE-DAYTON: One person was killed in a fire in a single-family home on the outskirts of Carson City early Saturday morning, Lyon County authorities said.

— DEPUTY STRUCK: A Nye County sheriff's deputy was injured when struck and dragged by a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop, a sheriff's official said Saturday.
