'Heard it through the grapeline'

An ex-girlfriend told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office she “has been hearing through the grapeline” that her ex-boyfriend received a shipment of drugs.

During an accidental call to 911 a dispatcher thought he could overhear “sounds of children playing” but he couldn’t be sure.

Someone in Whitefish complained about multiple vehicles blocking a trail, but the address the caller gave apparently couldn’t be verified.

A delivery driver received a threatening email from a homeowner.

Someone received a package with a computer part and the recipient believed the delivery was part of a scam. He was advised to try to send the package back.

A woman was upset because she said former tenants broke into her residence and stole some items, and she felt “like no one is willing to help her and nothing will get done.”

A Kalispell man was upset because he felt a snowplow driver was deliberately dumping snow on his property. Law enforcement spoke to the plow driver, who said he tries to distribute the snow evenly but the roadway is on a difficult hillside.

A truck driver reportedly ran a red light, almost rear-ended a car, passed on the median and kicked up rocks as it was going down the road.

Someone was concerned because no one appeared to be present at an open convenience store in Hungry Horse. Law enforcement made contact with the owner and he said he would check it out and didn’t need officers to respond.

A man was confronted for cutting down trees on private property for the second year in a row.

Someone reported a suspicious vehicle circling around the area. The person who reported the vehicle said someone in the car “smells very bad and asks the same questions over and over again.” She added this person seemed “creepy.”

A Texas man complained that his brother in Kalispell is continually using his name, including when he got a ticket.

A wheelchair user got stuck in ice on the curb at an intersection in the Hutton Ranch area. He asked law enforcement to help get him moving.

A teenager told his friend he overdosed on prescription pills after getting into trouble “for talking bad about a family member,” but it turned out he didn’t take the pills that he claimed.
