LT GOVERNOR-ABORTION SLAVERY COMMENT

SALT LAKE CITY — Members of the Utah House and Senate criticized a comment by the lieutenant governor drawing a comparison between abortion and slavery. Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox was one of three candidates asked during a Republican gubernatorial candidates forum Saturday if he would sign a bill defining life as beginning at conception. SENT: 300 words.

SUPREME COURT-PUBLIC NUDITY

CONCORD, N.H. — The U.S. Supreme Court is leaving in place the public nudity convictions of three women who removed their bathing suit tops on a New Hampshire beach as part of a global campaign advocating for the rights of women to go topless. ALASKA CABIN FIRE-HELICOPTER RESCUE

JUNEAU, Alaska — Tyson Steele watched his remote cabin go up in flames, mourned the death of his dog and then spent weeks in the Alaska wilderness, bundling up in an makeshift shelter against the subzero temperatures and eating canned food — unable to reach the outside world.
