Down in the Bitterroot against defending Western B champion, State B runnerup Florence, the visiting former Class C Scarlets may have been outmaneuvered by their host, but they closed out the contest with their most productive half of the season while matching their highest quarter tally during the final frame.

Peyton Lammerding turned in the first Scarlet double-double of the season with a tally of 11 complemented by a dozen boards.

The following evening Arlee played host to visiting Charlo in a county cross classification clash.

This would be just the third foray to the championship match in the history of the Pirate boys’ soccer program, who hoped that the idiomatic expression “third time’s a charm” would play out in Polson’s favor.
