VOUCHER VIOLATIONS-TENNESSEE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Some Tennessee parents were accused of misspending thousands of dollars in school voucher funds while using state-issued debit cards over the past school year, a review by The Associated Press has found, and state officials say they do not know what many of those purchases were for.

ALCOA, Tenn. — A lockdown ended at Tennessee's McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base on Wednesday afternoon and everyone was safe after a report of a suspicious person who appeared to be armed turned out to be a misunderstanding, officials said.

—ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT-TENNESSEE, from Nashville: A financial firm plans to create 200 more jobs than first announced in relocating its global headquarters from New York to Nashville, state economic development officials said Tuesday.
