WALLACE — A shorthanded Clark Fork girls basketball team dropped its second league game of the season 53-38 to Wallace on Thursday.

The Lady Cats (3-7, 1-2 North Star League) only had seven players to start the game but a cold being passed around the team forced one player to have to sit, leaving the team with only six girls.

Then another player fouled out during the game, forcing the team to compete with only five girls for part of the contest.

Senior Ellie Kiebert led all scorers with 18 points while sophomore Katelyn Matteson added 11.

“Even with all the sickness I have to say that these ladies held it together very well,” head coach Jordan Adams wrote in a text.
