Ann L. “Granny” Deusser, 85 of Coeur d’Alene, died Jan. 15, 2020, at Schneidmiller Hospice House. She was born to Rudolph Salmen and Ann Hoshour on Oct. 22, 1934. She married the love of her life, Stanley, on June 8, 1951, in Coeur d’Alene. They were married for 64 years before he passed away in 2015.
Ann worked for the Richland, Wash., school district food services department for many years and finished her career as a food service director of the Riverside School District, in Chattaroy, Wash.
She loved gardening in her beautiful backyard until her health prevented it. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her children Lottie (Lee) Kinney of Spokane, Wash.; Stanley D. Deusser II (Lori) of Denver and Julie (Robert) Schrader of Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren Ann Perkins of Spokane; Tara (Stephan) Carter of Spokane; Charles (Sierra) Kinney of Encintas, Calif.; Candice Belleza of Denver; Stanley D. (Jennifer) Deusser of Denver; Hiedi (Gregg) Schrader of Coeur d’Alene; Heather (Travis) Stamsos of Hayden; Carl Schrader of Coeur d’Alene; and Hannah (Aaron) Schrader of Coeur d’Alene. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Deusser.
The family would like to thank the staff at Legends Park Assisted Living, the nurses and doctors at Kootenai Health, and the wonderful, caring staff at Hospice of North Idaho Schneidmiller House, who made her final days comfortable and allowed her to find peace.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Ann to the Schneidmiller Hospice House. At Ann’s request no services will be held.
