Louise Helen Kaye Darcy, 78
Louise Helen Kaye Brewer-Darcy — homemaker and loving mother — was born April 28, 1941, in Glendale, Calif. and passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, after a long battle with end-stage COPD.
Louise is survived by her father, Noble C. Brewer (age 107) and her children, Michael T. Williams (age 61), Dale A. Williams (age 60) and Cynthia S. Farmer (age 58); six grandchildren: Jennifer M. Williams (age 38), Steven M. Williams (age 36), Christopher T. Williams, Timothy S. Williams (age 24), Alex Spangler (age 38) and Deveny Ann Baeli-Hall (age 20); five great-grandchildren: Evan Williams (age 14), Sean Spangler (age 6), Sativas Spangler (age 4), Indica Spangler (age 3) and Kingslee Noble Hall (age 1).
Louise was a very resilient woman and adapted to many things most would not – like living off-grid in the middle of nowhere. She loved the mountains and hunting; she could shoot a cattail in the middle of a pond 100 yards away. She loved to cook and eventually created Mamma Louisa’s Cookbook from family recipes. Louise loved music, mostly from the 1960s, like Barry White, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and others. She was very organized and even had drafting in her genes (probably due to her father, Noble).
In 1972 Louise and her son, Michael, designed the entry sign to Sherwood Forest Estates, in St. Louis, Mo. Louise even beat cervical cancer and she went on later in life to marry the love of her life, Emmett Michael Darcy, who was a high school principal for many years until he passed away in 1998. Louise went on to completely design her own home, which she occupied for the past 15 years.
There will not be a funeral, but her story will be shared online at www.louisekayedarcy.remembered.com/.
