MOSES LAKE — Big Bend only had one scorer reach double figures and lost to Wenatchee Valley 62-51.

Leading scorer Kayla Luke was plagued with foul trouble for most of the game. Luke picked up two fouls in the first quarter and added a third with just under seven minutes to play in the second.

With their starting point guard sidelined, the Vikings’ offense couldn’t overtake the Knights. Wenatchee Valley never blew the game open, but maintained a consistent lead.

Luke was tagged with her fourth foul early in the third quarter.

The Vikings drew as close as one point in the second half after a Savana Stephenson lay-up and a Maelyn Mace free throw made the score 39-38. From that point, the Knights closed the third quarter on an 8-0 run to build a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter.

Wenatchee Valley led by as much as 17 points after a Chasity Spady jump shot with six minutes remaining made the score 57-40.

Anna Yarbro led Big Bend with 15 points and eight rebounds. Stephenson and Kaitlyn Callahan added eight points each.
