Theodore ‘Fred’ Messerly, 62
Fred was born April 4, 1957, in Wallace, Idaho, to Ellen June Clark-Messerly and Fred Theodore Messerly. He passed away on Jan. 22, 2020, at home after battling cancer.
Fred grew up in Coeur d’Alene and attended school there.
Fred has two sons: Theo Messerly and Alan Messerly. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Messerly; his mother, Ellen Delbridge; brothers Bill Messerly and Jim Messerly. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Messerly Braden.
Fred attended and volunteered at his church for many years. He loved the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. Fred was a loyal friend to many. He listened to people when no one else would. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He was a hard worker.
Fred will be laid to rest in Fort Belnap, Mont. at the Messerly family plot. No service is planned at this time, but a memorial will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to Hospice, Bree Larosa, Bonnie Braden and Debbie Gamble, for making it possible to pass away at his home, and also to Ted Braden, for building his casket.
