Invention Convention winners announced

COEUR d’ALENE — Student scientists and inventors from across the Panhandle participated in the 30th annual North Idaho Regional Invention Convention at the Silver Lake Mall last weekend.

Those who placed as best of show or best of category will advance to the state finals March 6 and 7 at the University of Idaho in Moscow. Best of show and category winners will receive science kit awards as well as invitations to “pitch” their inventions at the University of Idaho’s Engineering EXPO. Top inventors will be invited to the National Invention Convention at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich.

Here are the winners of this year's North Idaho Regional Invention Convention:

Working Models
