After much anticipation, I’m finally ready to give my Super Bowl pick.

It took countless hours of scouring the internet and watching experts make their selections to reach this decision, but I’m eager to lock it in.

Actually, I did none of that so here goes nothing.

Sportsbooks everywhere have varying lines on the game, but the consensus is the Chiefs are a 1.5 point favorite.

In my opinion, Kansas City shouldn’t be favored to win the game. If you assessed the teams based on pure talent, the 49ers would be the clear favorite. They have it all including an unstoppable rushing attack and a relentless pass rush on defense, which if you look at the history of Super Bowl champions are two things most of them had.

As the old saying goes, defense wins championships.

So its easy right, the winner will be the 49ers. Well not if you go off the picks that have been sent in so far for the Bee Super Bowl Challenge. Twenty one of the 36 submitted picks have the Chiefs winning. And of those 21, 20 have Patrick Mahomes claiming the Super Bowl MVP.

Well, I agree. I have the Chiefs winning 34-31 over the 49ers and I’m picking running back Damien Williams as the MVP because all this talk about Mahomes throwing the ball has me thinking that Kansas City will lean more on their ground game which result in Williams having a monster game.

Remember to get your picks in. The deadline is noon Saturday. After that, we will not accept them.
