Sandpoint details City Beach rules

SANDPOINT — As the community head into the holiday weekend and the warmer months of summer, Sandpoint officials are reminding those headed to City Beach of what is and is not allowed.

In addition to no dogs being allowed at City Beach, glass containers are prohibited as is overnight camping. In addition, drinking or consuming beer or any other intoxicating beverage is not allowed nor are fireworks of any kind (this includes non-aerial fireworks such as pop-its, sparklers, etc. in addition to aerial displays). Feeding birds and waterfowl is prohibited.

Parking regulations are strictly enforced and vehicles must park in designated area (between the lines); this limits oversized vehicles such as motorhomes. Single vehicles parked in designated trailer parking will be ticketed.

On July 4, access to City Beach by vehicle will be limited starting at 7 p.m.

Drivers and those wishing to visit City Beach are reminded that overflow parking is available at the city parking lot, located at the intersection of Third Avenue and Church Street.
