NOTICE TO CONTRACTORSNOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN, that sealed bids will be received either by mail or hand delivered by Grant County and the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, located in the County Courthouse, P.O. Box 37, 35 C Street NW - Room 207, Ephrata, Washington, 98823, until 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the imporvements. The name and address of the bidder shall be on the outside of the envelope. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by bid proposal deposit in cash, a certified check, a cashier's check, or surety bond payable to Grant County, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. No conditional bid bond will be accepted. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forefeited to Grant County. Plans and Specifications may be purchased from the office of the County Engineer, 124 Enterprise St. SE., Ephrata, Washington, 98823, Phone: (509) 754-6082. The plans and specifications are provided for a non refundable deposit of $30.00 for each set, plus a $5.00 postage and handling fee, if mailing is requested. Informational copies of the Plans and Specifications are on file for inspection purposes at the Grant County Public Works Buidling, 124 Enterprise St. S.E. Ephrata, Washington, 98823, and only in the Chapter Offices of the AGC in Seattle and Spokane, and other various Plan Centers Located in Washington, as requested. The board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The award of the contract, if made, shall be made to the qualified responsive bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. This work may generally be descriebd as construction of the bottom lining system for the Ephrata Landfill Phase 3 Development area (approximately 18 acres). The work to be performed under this contract shall be the following: grading; installation of a landfill gas collection and condensate system piping, placement of a bedding layer, installation of a 60-mil textured HDPE geomembrane liner; installation of a geotextile cushion layer, placement of a sideslope later, and leachate collection layer. Also, the work will include excavation/embankment and grading of access raods, stormwater perimeter ditch, and eletrical for the condensate system. See the Proposal on page LD-3 for construction period for this project. OTHELLO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 147 2019-2020 BUDGET EXTENSION The Board of Directors of Othello School District will conduct a public hearing on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.at the Othello School District Administrative Office, 1025 S. 1st Avenue, Othello WA 99344, for the purpose of requesting an extension of the Debt Service Fund Budget for the 2019-2020 school fiscal year. Any person may appear at the meeting and be heard for or against the budget or any part thereof.
