Coronavirus: Thirteen new cases in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY — There were 13 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County on Thursday: five new cases in Moses Lake; two in Ephrata; two in the Quincy area; and one each in the Mattawa area, Royal City, Soap Lake and the Grand Coulee/Electric City area,
Thursday’s results brought the county’s total reported cases to 601, with 240 cases reported in the last two weeks, according to Grant County Health District. Twelve Grant County residents infected with the coronavirus are currently hospitalized.
Communities in the county with the largest number of cases were Moses Lake with 172, the Quincy area with 154, and the Mattawa area with 143.
The health district in the last two weeks has seen a wide range of settings where people are presumed to have been exposed to the virus, including barbecues, birthday parties, places of work and within households.
