WENATCHEE — The Wellness Place has reopened after three months of closure, according to a press release.

The center, in Wenatchee, was closed in accordance with Gov. Jay Inslee’s “stay home, stay healthy” order.

The Wellness Place provides services to cancer patients in the Wenatchee area and across Grant, Douglas, Chelan and Okanogan counties, according to Executive Director Julie Lindholm.

Under ordinary circumstances, The Wellness Place offers at no charge: wigs for women and/or men who lose their hair due to chemotherapy and radiation; gas cards to facilitate travel to and from treatments; nutritional drinks to supply nutrients when eating becomes too difficult due to nausea and pain; lodging assistance for those traveling for treatments; and access to its online resources page, which includes links to cancer resources.

Some of the center’s services could be supplied by mail during the closure. With the reopening, The Wellness Place is able to resume supplying wigs to “cancer warriors” as well.
