QUINCY — A mobile home about four miles northeast of George was destroyed by fire July 5.

Grant County Fire District No. 3 Chief Don Fortier said the fire near the junction of Road 2 Northwest and state Route 283 was reported about 7 p.m. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The structure was fully engulfed at the time the blaze was reported, Fortier said. The fire was contained to one structure.

Fifteen to 20 firefighters and six GCFD3 trucks responded from the Quincy and George fire stations, he said. They were on the scene for about four hours.
