Press to offer Parade Magazine starting Sunday

Sundays are about to get a whole lot better.

While we've missed out on the fun of local gatherings and community parades, the Coeur d'Alene Press is bringing the Parade to you.

Starting this Sunday, Press subscribers are going to be treated to weekly issues of Parade Magazine, a publication of glossy pages filled with engaging entertainment coverage, home and health content and inspiring stories designed to make life and community connections more meaningful.

"It's been around for decades. Many people are familiar with it," Press Circulation Director Bill Bollinger said Wednesday. "I grew up reading it in my hometown newspaper in the Midwest."

Parade Magazine will give families and individuals even more reason to enjoy leisurely Sunday mornings with the newspaper spread all around as they enjoy fun features, informative articles and crisp, colorful images.

"It's going to be a wonderful addition for our readers," Bollinger said. "I think it's going to be a big deal and welcomed by our readership."

Bollinger said in this first edition, celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will share experiences working at their first jobs.

"I know someone in there is going to say they were a newspaper carrier," Bollinger said.

He said The Press is always looking for opportunities to entertain and inform its readership, "and Parade Magazine is going to be a great fit with its engaging content."

Founded in 1941 and published by AMG/Parade, Parade Magazine is distributed in more than 700 newspapers to 18 million households every weekend, with an approximate readership of 40 million.

Several Hagadone Newspaper family members will also offer Parade beginning this month: Bonner County Daily Bee, Bonners Ferry Herald, Shoshone News-Press and the Columbia Basin Herald.
