Crash injures Sagle residents

SAGLE — An unknown number of local residents were injured in a Saturday afternoon crash south of Sagle.

Idaho State Police said Nancy Pucci, 77, of Sagle was stopped in the 462000 block of U.S. 95 south of Sagle waiting to turn left into a business parking lot when her 2013 Honda CRV was struck from behind by a 2018 Chevy Silverado driven by Brandon Chaney, 33, also of Sagle.

Pucci’s vehicle was pushed into the southbound ditch, while Chaney’s pickup came to rest in the southbound lane of the highway, ISP troopers said in a press release. The occupants of Pucci’s vehicle were transported by ground EMS to an unspecified hospital and the occupants of Chaney’s vehicle were transported by ground and air EMS to an unspecified hospital.

The occupants of Chaney’s vehicle were not wearing seatbelts.

The highway was blocked for approximately 1.5 hours. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
