MOSES LAKE — Former Bothell City Council member and Republican candidate for governor Joshua Freed will be in Moses Lake’s Civic Park at noon Wednesday. Freed, a graduate of Seattle Pacific University, served 12 years on the Bothell City Council.

The event was organized by the Republican Women of Grant County.

“Joshua’s experience of leadership in small business, local government, and helping those in need make him uniquely qualified to tackle the biggest challenges facing our state,” that organization said in a statement.

Freed will be joined by Chris Leyba, candidate for state auditor, an 11-year veteran detective with three years of experience as a performance auditor within law enforcement.

Other candidates expected to join the Wednesday event include Matt Larkin, candidate for attorney general and former prosecutor for Pierce and Spokane counties, and Marty McClendon, candidate for lieutenant governor and conservative radio show host.

Covenant Church Pastor Seth Haberman and Miss Othello’s Rodeo Queen Brianne Kinkade will also be in attendance, according to organizers.
