Coronavirus: Eighty-nine new cases reported over the weekend

GRANT COUNTY — Since Friday evening, there were 89 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County, bringing the countywide total to 858, according to Grant County Health District.

There were 28 cases reported in the Quincy area, 22 in the Mattawa area, 21 in Moses Lake, six in Royal City, four in Warden, three in Soap Lake, and two new cases each in Ephrata and the rural Grant County near Othello, the health district reported Monday evening.

Eleven confirmed cases in Grant County were hospitalized on Monday.

In addition, 345 had recovered in the last 28 days, though cases listed as recovered may still be symptomatic and may have long-term health effects from COVID-19, according to the health district.

There have been 236 cases in Moses Lake since the pandemic began, 209 in the Mattawa area and 205 in the Quincy area, according to the health district.
