Loose dog leads to weapons duel

A dog reportedly got loose and approached a man standing by the trunk of his vehicle. The man who was supposedly scared of dogs allegedly pulled out a hammer and swung at it. Another man approached and a verbal confrontation ensued. The hammer was purportedly “exchanged” for a machete and the other man “drew his pistol from open carry.” The dog was retrieved and returned to its property. Kalispell Police Department counseled both parties who purportedly “both apologized and exchanged numbers.”
Police responded to a report of a few males allegedly hiding in trees or bushes, who were screaming profanities. They were moved along.
A welfare check was requested for a woman on Woodland Park Drive who was reportedly “freaking out,” tearing up grass and had a handful of something that she put in her mouth. A man then got out of a vehicle with an open trunk. She was gone by the time officers arrived.
A man in a van allegedly hit a woman twice and was screaming at her in front of children. The man claimed she stabbed him with a fork.
A man wanted to talk to an officer about a woman who reportedly refuses to leave him alone. Over years, he alleged she has shown up at his house uninvited and emailed him “aggressively” until he blocked her. Officers notified the woman she would be trespassing if she showed up at his property.
Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that a woman in a men’s bathroom allegedly burned herself after spilling hot oil all over on Nucleus Avenue.
A woman reportedly fell off a motorcycle on Ninth Street in Columbia Falls and hit her head, but she was conscious and breathing.
Someone on Nucleus Avenue was suspicious of a blonde woman wearing heels who allegedly looked like she was trying to duct tape something inside the engine of her vehicle and “was talking to her car.”
