24-year-old dead after collision on lake

MOSES LAKE — A 24-year-old Moses Lake man died Saturday morning from injuries suffered in a Friday night personal watercraft collision, according to law enforcement.

Tyler Homesley was operating the watercraft on Moses Lake in the area south of the Interstate 90 bridge when he collided with a personal watercraft operated by Wyatt Oscarson, 24, of Moses Lake, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Homesley was transported by boat to the Laguna community, where Moses Lake Fire Department paramedics attempted to resuscitate him.

Homesley died around 2:45 a.m. Saturday at Samaritan Healthcare, according to the sheriff’s office.

Homesley’s passenger, Brian A. Rosborough, 23, of Moses Lake, was transported to Samaritan with non-life-threatening injuries. Oscarson was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.

The collision is under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Marine Unit. Boating under the influence is not suspected, law enforcement reported.
