SANDPOINT — A preliminary hearing is pending for a Sandpoint man accused of molesting two girls.

Keifer Alan Flood is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct. He is free on a $10,000 surety bond while the case is pending.

Flood, 28, is accused of placing the hand of one alleged victim on his crotch between 2015 and 2017, when the girl was between the ages of 11-13, according to a criminal complaint. Flood is further accused of fondling the genitals of another girl between 2016 and 2017, when she was between the ages of 10-12, the complaint said.

The allegations against Flood emerged in March following investigations by the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare and Sandpoint Police, court records show.

The younger alleged victim said Flood placed her hand on himself and rubbed himself against her, according to a probable cause affidavit. The girl told authorities she was too scared to even cry, the affidavit said.

The other alleged victim said she awoke one night to Flood touching her inappropriately, the police affidavit said.

Flood denied touching either girl inappropriately, but later admitted it could have happened, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Aug. 12 in Bonner County Magistrate Court.
