Crescent Bar shelter-in-place alert lifted after arrest

CRESCENT BAR - A suspect was arrested Thursday on suspicion of firing gunshots near the golf course on the peninsula of Crescent Bar.

Law enforcement requested residents stay indoors, sending out an alert around 11:50 a.m. that a person at the end of the peninsula had fired a gun.

Grant County sheriff’s deputies and Quincy police arrived at the scene without incident, according to law enforcement.

About 10 minutes later, law enforcement reported it had a suspect in custody, and by 12:10 p.m. it was confirmed that no one had been injured.
