Mariners split with Florence Bucs

The Mission Valley Mariners split a pair of games with the Florence Bucs last weekend.
A two-run sixth inning lifted the Mariners over the Bucs, 6-4, while the visiting team triumphed in the other, 9-2.
Mission is 10-8 in league play and 16-12 overall.
Two games against Libby last week were postponed and there is no word if they will be played.
The Mariners were scheduled to play at Kalispell Tuesday night and host the Glacier Twins at 1 p.m. Saturday for senior night.
In Mission’s win over the Bucs, Espn Fisher drew two bases-loaded walks to score runs for the Mariners.
Leadoff man Dawson Dumont scored four runs for the Mariners while No. 2 hitter Xavier Fisher scored twice.
Dumont, Fisher, Eric Dolence and Keyan Dalbey each had hits with Dalbey collecting a run batted in.
Dolence pitched four innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on two hits with four strikeouts and six walks.
Alex Muzquiz tossed three shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and one walk while collecting two strikeouts.
In the 9-2 defeat to the Bucs, Dumont, Muzquiz and James Bennett each had hits. Bennett and Fisher had runs batted in.
