A preliminary decision on North Idaho Maritime’s proposed construction on Wolf Lodge Bay could come within the next 30 days.
The company plans to build a 10-by-70-foot commercial pier, a 10-by-100-foot floating dock, and a work area on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
A public hearing was held Thursday. Most spoke against it, citing environmental concerns.
Water law attorney Chris Bromley is evaluating the proposal’s adherence to Idaho statutes. Based on Bromley’s recommendation, Idaho Department of Lands Director Dustin Miller is expected to issue a final decision.
If approved, construction could begin in February.
