OTHELLO — After being closed since March 18, the Old Hotel Art Gallery has reopened for business. Manager Jenn Stevenson said the art gallery opened for business on Tuesday, June 2.
The Old Hotel Art Gallery closed a few days prior to the weekend of what should have been the Sandhill Crane Festival. During the closure, Stevenson has been doing craft projects via Facebook live.
At the beginning of May, the Old Hotel started doing curbside pickup. With the reopening, curbside pickup will still be an option that customers can request when ordering.
For those who wish to browse inside the Old Hotel, face masks are highly encouraged. Reusable masks may be purchased for $5 each.
As part of the reopening, the Old Hotel Art Gallery will be featuring the sixth-grade science classes of Hiawatha Elementary School as the artists of the month.
“They put together great information that they were planning on sharing at the Othello Sandhill Crane Festival,” Stevenson said. “Since it was canceled, they were unable to show their presentations, research, posters and displays.”
The students work is on display for the month of June.
