•Setup K79 with ARTS login, setup in ARTS, information sent out for email to be setup as well as CAD for activity documentation via radio (once he is allowed to talk on the radio.) Yes, that is a new call number. KPD would like to welcome Ronnie MayField to the KPD family and please, only five fingered waves (well at least for the first week or so). No, we don’t have a nick name for him yet and I think The Other Dave might be jealous that he is no longer the new guy.
•Found property 300 block W. Mission, took in a bicycle
•Traffic complaint/motorist assist, described as the westbound off ramp at 50 (there is no off ramp in that location) with no vehicle description. Checked from 49-51 without success. Unable to locate.
•Reports.
•Follow-up on found bicycle.
•Worked on getting ARTS up and running, should be fixed and tested several times throughout the day to be working.
•VIN inspections at Kellogg City Hall X3.
•Performance verification completed for the month for the LifeLoc.
•Citizen contact Division & Riverside. Clear NAT.
•Foot patrol on Bunker, Mission, Sunset, Caledonia, Howard, Vergobbi, North, Elder, Mullan, McKinley, Main, Ohio, Mid Third, Market, & Mill.
•Update reports before ARTS remains down for the rest of the day (Maintenance).
•Daily brief from the Chief: Vin inspection at the P.D, Chiefly things.
•Landline request regarding threats made online. Clear information report taken.
•Foot patrol Bunker Avenue.
•Dispatched to a woman standing in roadway 700 block S. Division. Clear UTL.
•Dispatched to suspicious circumstance Fairbridge. Clear NAT.
•Misdemeanor warrant arrest 300 block E. Idaho.
•Dispatched to harassment 100 block Legion Avenue. Clear NAT.
•Assisted K77 with harassment on Presley. Clear agency assist.
•Citizen contact 100 block McKinley. Clear, disturbing the peace education.
•Attempted contact for harassment 500 block Main. Clear negative contact.
•Assisted K78 with a harassment complaint on the 200 block of Legion.
•Responded to the 100 block of Presley Avenue for threats being made. No crime was discovered, cleared public assist.
•Dispatched to the 300 block of W. Riverside Avenue for overdue persons. Individuals were later located and were in good health.
•Assisted county with a traffic stop at the intersection of Bunker Avenue & Hill Street.
•Responded to the 300 block of W. Riverside Avenue for an animal complaint. Verbal warning was given.
•Assist County with a traffic accident at MP 48 I-90. Secured scene in till County arrived. Cleared assist.
•Report approval day.
•More NIBBRS work.
•Renter, landlord issues 600 block of McKinley. Cleared peace restored for now.
•Lost dog on Short Street. K76 picked up.
•Radar patrol Bunker, S Division, Cameron and Mission Avenue.
•NIBRS work started for May.
•Called to 500 Block of Main Street for notes being left on a door. Cleared NAT.
•Put hound dog in the pound from up the river. SCSO impound.
•Patrolled in the heat wave.
•Patrolled city parking lots looking for dead heads.
•Dog taken into the pound from the 500 block of Mission.
•ATL for vehicle involved in a crash in the interstate, black dodge ram, possibly late 90s. Cleared UTL.
•Welfare Check at 200 block of E. Portland. After finding out information, this is the location of cell phone ping (290 block which does not exist). Female subject has not been in contact with family for several days and has medical issues. Checked with previous employer (February of 2020) located an address in Osburn, information relayed to Osburn PD. Spoke with RP to advise of the current situation and this would be going to another agency. Also found out person requiring the check lives in the Coeur d’Alene area. Advised RP to contact the family to have them contact their local agency to get further information. Subject is not in Kellogg and nowhere for Kellogg to check.
•Had a citizen approach K76 at the Cameron Conoco about a speeding vehicle/ suspicious vehicle that looked like the vehicles ANTIFA were using to transport themselves from Seattle. Made contact with the male driver who said they were traveling from Seattle protests and was very vague.
•Assisted K77 with a complaint of a smelly smell that smells... smelly in the 300 block of W Mullan. Cleared unable to locate. No its wasn’t K77’s Durango, but it also smells bad.
•Responded to the 300 block of W. Mullan Ave. for possible drug usage. Checked the area but was unable to observe such usage or locate the source.
•Assisted K76 on the 10 block of S. Division with suspicious activity. Vehicle in the area appeared to have been tampered with. Responsible party was notified, but we were unable to determine if the activity was done maliciously.
•Assisted County with a possible unlawful entry on the 700 block of 4th St. in Pinehurst. Discovered no signs of criminal activity.
•Citizen contact at Kellogg City Hall regarding neighbor issues. One neighbor does not like the smell coming from one apartment and likes to leave notes saying so.
•Felony arrest for 4 counts of Fraud, subject taken into custody on warrant without issue.
•Words from the Chief: “There has been several people in the park with metal detectors digging in the grass. Public works Superintendent Craig Lewis does not want them digging in the grass as it has been killing the grass in the spots they have dug. If you see them in the park, let them know that digging in the grass is prohibited.”
•Traffic complaint 10 block of W. Market, unable to locate.
•Went with Fire to check on burning/smokey smell at the Post Office. Did not locate anything burning and cleared after assisting.
•Found property (bicycle) 300 block N. Division, bicycle was picked up and taken to City Hall- Silver Next Mako BMX style. Update: Located owner of bicycle and returned the property. Changed information and closed out another officer’s report as it was reported stolen/missing.
•Called to the area of 500 block of Main Street for a report of a reckless driver. Made contact with both suspect and RP, suspect was given a verbal warning. Victim didn’t want to sign.
•Traffic stop in the Avista parking lot for no headlights, verbal.
•Traffic stop on the 50 on ramp for a headlight out, verbal warning.
•Dispatched to fleet accident I-90 westbound mile post 55. Clear report taken.

•Called to Morning Star Lodge for domestic in progress. Upon arrival, discovered it was verbal only. Cleared peace restored.

•Called to Silver Mountain for dog at large. Front desk found the owner prior to my arrival. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Called to the 600 block of West Park for a domestic in progress, During the investigation a female was taken into custody. Cleared arrest.
