Coronavirus: One new case reported Thursday

GRANT COUNTY — One new case of the coronavirus was reported in Grant County on Thursday, a man between the ages of 19 and 40 from the Mattawa area, according to Grant County Health District.

The county total was 244 confirmed cases as of Thursday evening. The health district reported the results of 58 new tests Thursday, including 57 which came back negative. There were also 34 probable cases and 154 tests still pending results.

Four people sickened with the novel coronavirus are currently hospitalized, including at least one person from Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, the health district reported.

The Quincy area’s total was 86 confirmed cases, Moses Lake’s total was 98, and the Mattawa area’s total was 57.

As of Thursday evening, 3,005 tests have come back negative, for a total of 3,249 tests taken to date.
