Transfer students now eligible to submit videos to win $1,000 scholarships
The University of Idaho is now expanding its theater arts scholarships to transfer students who are interested in the craft.
High school seniors and now transfer students are invited to create a short video for a chance to win one of two $1,000 scholarships for fall 2020.
Students with an interest in acting, design, stage management, directing and writing are encouraged to apply by submitting a two- to three-minute video showcasing their talent and passion for theater.
“We’re not just looking for the best and brightest young theater artists in our region, we’re also looking for those artists who know how to showcase their talent,” said Robert Caisley, UI Theatre Arts chair. “After all, this is a highly competitive business, and the ability to promote and distinguish yourself from the competition is a valuable skill we help all our students develop.”
“This scholarship opportunity is specifically designed to seek out those entrepreneurial artists looking to the arts.”
Students should send a link of their video to [email protected] by 5 p.m. June 13. Questions can be sent to the same email address.
