Challenge raises more than $26,000 for Whitefish Trail

Whitefish Trail users logged 26,072 miles during the month of May for the second annual Hit the Trail Challenge, earning $26,072 toward the trail and protected lands.

For every mile logged by users on the Whitefish Trail for the month of May who participated in the challenge, it earned $1 in donations to the Whitefish Legacy Partners.

Sponsors of the challenge included the High Stakes Foundation, Tailwinds Charitable Foundation, BlueCross BlueShield of Montana, North Valley Hospital, and Kalispell Regional Healthcare

Alan Myers-Davis, Director of Development for Whitefish Legacy Partners, says a huge thank you goes to the sponsors for matching miles for dollars and supporting health and wellness in the community.

Prizes and awards are given for top participants.

Most points Workplace Teams (calculated as a per person mileage average with a 2.5:1 adjustment for biking miles):

1. Competitive Timing: 147.4 points (3 team members)

2. HeartStone Advisors: 88.8 points (6 team members)

3. Muldown Elementary Teachers: 87.2 points (10 team members)

4. ZaneRay Group: 49.7 points (17 team members)

3. Healthy Living Cooperative 1,337 miles (23 team members)
