Coronavirus: Ten new cases, including five from Moses Lake

GRANT COUNTY — There were 10 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County on Wednesday. Five were in Moses Lake, two in the Quincy area, and one each in the Mattawa area, Soap Lake and the rural Grant County area near Othello.
According to Grant County Health District, some of the cases had a the same place of employment, some had attended a family gathering where the virus may have spread, at least one person may have been infected from contact outside of the county and additional cases remain under investigation.
The total of confirmed cases in Grant County as of Wednesday evening was 265. Sixty cases were reported in the last two weeks. The health district has also reported that 124 cases in the county had recovered from the coronavirus as of Monday.
Five people sickened with the novel coronavirus are currently hospitalized, including three cases which were reported Wednesday.
As of Monday evening, the Quincy area had 88 confirmed cases, Moses Lake had 72, and the Mattawa area had 58.
In addition to tests that have come back positive, 3,555 have come back negative.
