MOSES LAKE — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Chelan Fresh are working together to provide boxes of fresh food for free in Moses Lake. They planned three distribution events, and the next is Saturday, June 13.

At the first, on May 30, nearly 5,600 boxes — each 20-pound box containing nine pounds of apples, eight pounds of potatoes and three pounds of onions — were given out in a drive-up system.

This Saturday’s distribution will again be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 1515 S. Division St., Moses Lake. Anyone can receive the free food in the parking lot, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The third distribution will be on June 27.
