Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 4 years, 7 months AGO
Margaret Loraine Ferree Street, fondly known as Peggy, 85, of Kalispell, went to meet her Lord and Savior on May, 25, 2020.
Peg was born in Malta, Montana to Walt and Helen Ferree on the 5th of July 1935. When she was a little girl the family lived in the Landusky mining camp where her father was employed.
The family moved to Kalispell when she was seven and her and her siblings started at Mountain Brooks School, next Cornelius Hedges Grade School. She then attended Central Junior High, and eventually graduated from Flathead High School. As a young girl she enjoyed tap dancing, but what she loved the most was music. She played the drums in school, took piano lessons and even tried her sister’s accordion.
She was married on Oct. 16, 1954 to Clifford Ray Street in Kalispell. They went on to have seven children, she passed on her love for music to those children and three of her boys played guitar. She loved to listen to them play and sing. Later in life she enjoyed watching her brother Chuck drive his car in the stock car races. Every Friday/Saturday night she could be found sitting next to her father on the bleachers “at the races.”
Her living room was always filled with pictures of her family, as they were the thing that brought her joy.
Peg is preceded in death by her husband Cliff, an infant daughter Cheryl Ann, and a son Mark Street, and brother Chuck Ferree.
Peg is survived by her children Ronald Street (Martha) of Libby, Darrell Street, Joan Stiener, both of Kalispell, Arlene Street of Marion, Brian Street (Misty) of Kalispell; sister Sydne Smith of Fortine; 13 grandchildren Angela (Jes) Adams of Libby, Kieth (Jenny) Hood, Brianna (Mike) of Kalispell, Lacey (Shannon) Swan of Puyallup, Washington; Scott Street, Elizabeth Steiner of Kalispell, Travis Steiner of Kalispell, Kendall Street of Boise, Idaho; Dakota Sakariason, Danny Street, and Shali Street, Hailey, Sami, Judy; seven great-grandchildren Samantha, Stephen, Alyssa, Sierra, Alex, Becca, Mariah, Korey, Haley, and even four great-great grandchildren Madison, Linzie, Kallie, Hunter, and Colton.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the Heritage Place for the care they provided our loved one. May the Lord bless you.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
