A Scotts Stroll resident reported spotting a man trespassing on her property. She believed the man was a neighbor.

Suspicious activity

A Rustic Avenue resident reported that their neighbor’s security camera was facing in the direction of their home. The caller suspected the neighbor was coming onto their property at night and stealing items.

An individual near a Libby convenience store reported seeing a teenager getting punched inside a vehicle.

2:30 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A U.S. Highway 37 resident reported a neighbor for being disruptive. The man was yelling at neighbors and at the caller’s hired contractor.

Animal complaint

A local health clinic reported an animal bite victim.

Suspicious activity

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a report of an individual leaving flowers and candy outside of a U.S. Highway 2 home. The gifts come without a note and no one knew who was making the deliveries. The individual who contacted law enforcement later determined it was a man who had stalked her in the past. She thought he had left the area.

4:55 p.m.

Missing person

A Treasure View Drive resident reported her two 7-year-old sons missing after they failed to return home. The two boys left on bicycles and had been gone for three hours. The boys were later found.

6:07 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A Harmony Lane resident called authorities on behalf of their sibling. The brother’s ex-partner was at the house with a moving truck and removing items.

7:33 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited a woman for disorderly conduct after responding to a report of a woman attempting to kick in a door at Three Corner Road.

9:12 p.m.

Fish and game

Authorities responded to a report of a bear near North Central Road. A caller told law enforcement that a large bear had taken her dog food container. The bear was now lounging in the yard.

Libby police officers responded to a report of a very intoxicated man walking on U.S. Highway 2 near a local supermarket. Responding officers determined the man was leaving town.

A caller reported a semi-trailer parked on the roadway near Glen Lake Road, obstructing traffic.

A Rainbow Lane resident asked to speak with an officer regarding threats made against him by another man.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers investigated a grass violation on Main Avenue.

Theft

A motorist reported a missing purse. She believed it was taken from her vehicle while she was running errands in Libby the day prior.

Suspicious activity

A caller wanted to know what happened to the truck that allegedly brought 19,000 pounds of potatoes to Lincoln County. He heard about the truck on the news and wanted more information. He asked to speak with the sheriff.

Animal complaint

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to East 5th Street for a report of large dogs on the loose. A neighbor attempted to control them. Authorities later took two dogs to the shelter.

4:46 p.m.

Scam

A Dakota Avenue resident reported receiving a scam call from a man who claimed to represent Medicare. He asked for her Social Security number, address and current medications.

Suspicious person

Libby police officers responded to a report of a man walking around the downtown area. He was carrying a staff and pretending to fight with it.

7:21 p.m.

Property

A Michigan Avenue resident reported an abandoned bicycle in the alleyway behind his house. The bike had been there about a week.

8:12 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A Vicks Lane resident asked Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies to investigate a man showing neighborhood kids his AK-47 and bulletproof vest. The man left the area in a white vehicle with Washington state license plates.

Suspicious activity

An East Spruce Street resident told Libby police officers that their ex-partner was allowing minors to consume alcohol at her house. Responding officers found individuals at the house outside sans alcoholic beverages.

9:41 p.m.

Disturbance

Libby police officers asked a motorist to move along from where they were parked on Louisiana Avenue. A neighbor reported the motorist for honking his horn repeatedly over several hours.

Indecent exposure

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of indecent exposure at a local veterans’ organization.

An Iron Creek Road resident reported having problems with a local, intoxicated woman.

Authorities learned of a deer struggling to give birth along Granite Avenue.

A woman reported going through a divorce five years prior. The courts awarded her husband a delivery van, but the vehicle still has her phone number on the door.
