A Kila man is facing a child sexual assault charge after a 9-year-old victim reported the alleged assault to another adult.

Timothy Allen Seese, 68, is charged with one felony count of sexual intercourse without consent. He faces a maximum 100-year prison term in the Montana State Prison.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Flathead District Court at 9 a.m., Thursday, July 9. Seese is currently lodged in the Flathead County Detention Center on $200,000 bail.

According to court documents, a woman called the Whitefish Police Department on June 10 to report that a 9-year-old girl had told her about the alleged assault.

On June 11, an investigator with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office who specializes in child sex assault cases spoke to the young girl. According to the court filing, the victim told the investigator Seese had put his mouth on her genitals.

On June 12, a detective with the Whitefish Police Department spoke with Seese about the alleged incident.

Seese allegedly said he had been blowing “raspberries on her stomach.” When the detective asked Seese if his mouth had touched the girl’s genitals, he allegedly said “I don’t think so, but maybe it did.”

Earlier this year, Seese and another woman filed a petition for guardianship of a 2-month-old boy who is his great-grandson and her grandson. The reason given was the mother of the child has mental disorders and she consented to the request. The father of the boy couldn’t be found. A hearing in that case is scheduled for July 7.
