MOSES LAKE — Contractors are working on repainting the water tower off of Kittelson Road in Moses Lake. The Kittelson Road water tower is the first to receive its fresh coat in the city’s plan of repainting one tower each year.

Currently sporting a variety of city logos from different eras, the water reservoirs will all be painted to feature the current city logo designed by the former city manager.

Moses Lake Municipal Services Director Fred Snoderly said the decision was made last year when the city was preparing its preliminary budget for the year.

“The towers haven’t been painted in 10 years or better,” Snoderly said. “We put money in the budget to basically start the process of repainting all of our towers over time.”

Outside contractors are handling the painting of the water towers, Snoderly said. He added that it is yet to be determined which tower will be painted next.
