Non-partisan response to recall effort offers hope

The definition of vigilante offered by Sandpoint Mayor Shelby Rognstad is defined as: members of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate. Rognstad’s description is twisted and consumed with division. Patriots exercising their constitutional and statutory rights are of the same law enforcement understanding, that as peaceful as the local protests are, it is well proven that there are many, nationwide that have an agenda and desire to usurp “events” by interjecting violence.

The Constitution is founded on life liberty and happiness. Life being the primary interest here, though liberty and happiness also apply. Life has no qualifiers of color or age, born and unborn. Patriots assumingly understand the concept of life to the point they were ensuring safety by aiding some property owners to their vehicles and deterring property destruction. They were truly demonstrating the “Love Lives Here” philosophy.

Again, the peaceful protesters supporting life is not the patriot opposition. Inaccurate and inflammatory titles of community members is unproductive. As proven this week, yes, we “can all get along.”

I’m greatly inspired by the non-partisan response to the recall of Gov. Brad Little. We really do have some common ground and division or race baiting serves Little well.
