PRIEST RIVER — Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a sexual assault.

Bonner County Sheriff’s officials said an unknown white male knocked on the door of a home at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16. He engaged the lone woman in a conversation at a residence at Peninsula and Peterson roads.

The suspect violently forced the woman into the residence, where he battered and sexually assaulted her, sheriff’s officials said. He fled the scene in an unknown direction using an unknown method of travel.

Prior to the assault, a smaller truck with oxidized red paint was observed in the area. The vehicle is described as an older box-type truck with a possible extra cab type frame without the extra cab door.

Anyone with any information about this case is urged to contact the BCSO Detective’s Section at 208-263-8417 extension 3206 or the Bonner Communications non-emergency number at 208-265-5525. Messages may also be sent to bonnersheriff@bonnerso.org.
