New site for Roger’s Ice Cream & Burgers
Construction for a new eatery and offices for Roger’s Ice Cream & Burgers has begun at 2420 Government Way (between Wells Fargo and I-90). The new place will replace the Roger’s Burgers location on Neider Avenue in June.
Owners Mark and Nicole Randolph bought the business in 2009 with the original place on East Sherman. They added the Neider place in 2012, built one on Spokane Street in Post Falls in 2017 and one at Hess and Honeysuckle in Hayden in 2019.
Roger’s began with Wilson (Bill) Rogers in Moscow in 1940 and came to Coeur d’Alene in the 1980s in what originally was a Dari Delite at Sherman and 13th.
With the new place bringing the total employees to 130-150, the Randolphs offer food that is cooked fresh to order with 100 percent never-frozen beef. The fries and homemade kettle chips are made with locally grown potatoes, which are hand-cut daily and cooked in rice-bran oil. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions are sliced fresh daily. They serve premium ice cream, shakes and malts, beer, cider and hard seltzer.
The Randolphs are searching for qualified management and give to local charities, schools, youth sports and activities. Phone 208-664-0696.
