Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle

A pedestrian is dead from injuries sustained after he was hit by a vehicle south of Pablo.

Law enforcement was dispatched to U.S. 93 at mile-marker 51 at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday when a woman driving the vehicle struck the man who was in the roadway for unknown reasons according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Wayne Bieber. He said road conditions were dry and clear.

The man, who has not been identified, was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

The woman, who has also not been identified, was taken to the hospital for investigation purposes according to Bieber. No passengers were in the vehicle.

Other details about the incident are not being released at this time because the incident is still under investigation according to Bieber.
